From lived experience
The starting point is a real classroom problem, observed by a teacher.
Built from the classroom up
Passing was created by a high-school math teacher who saw students spending time on learning platforms without necessarily connecting with the learning.

The observation
Students were clicking through lessons. Time was being logged. Reports were being filled. From the outside, the work could look complete. In the classroom, a different picture emerged when students needed to explain an idea or use it on their own.
The experience often felt distant from the students it was supposed to serve. Teachers were left to discover what had not landed, then spend more time helping students work through it individually. That observation became the starting point for Passing.
The conviction
An engaging platform and useful reporting should reinforce each other. Students should have a reason to lean into an idea. Teachers should be able to see where understanding is growing. School leaders should be able to connect progress with what students can demonstrate.
Passing is being built around that shared ambition. Its name is a challenge to make passing mean something more: learning that stays, confidence that grows, and possibilities that continue beyond a completed course.
The starting point is a real classroom problem, observed by a teacher.
The learning experience deserves as much attention as the reporting it produces.
The vision makes room for students, teachers, and school leaders to move forward together.
Passing should mean understanding. And understanding should open doors.
