The reason we’re here

A completed lesson
is just the beginning.
What matters is
what stays.

That moment an idea clicks.
The confidence to try again.
The ability to take it further.

Students deserve learning they can connect with. Teachers deserve a clearer view of what’s understood. Schools deserve progress that means something.

We’re building Passing to bring those ambitions into one connected experience.

Meet the vision
01 / A different starting pointUnderstanding changes everything.

02 / Inside Passing

A closer look
at the learning.

Learn an idea. Ask about it.
See what your own answer shows.

A Passing lesson video from Lesson 6.2, “The Pythagorean theorem”. A teacher kneels beside a wooden wedge ramp in a skate park, holding a tape measure at its top corner with the tape laid along the ramp’s sloped edge. An on-screen card draws the ramp as a right triangle with legs of 3 ft and 4 ft and shows 3² + 4² = c², 9 + 16 = 25, c = √25 = 5 ft. The player is at 1:24 of 3:05.
01 / Learn the idea

Every lesson video carries its math in Passing’s own type.

Passing Coach on a phone, in the lesson “Solving linear inequalities”. The student asks “wait why do u flip the sign when u divide by a negative?? makes no sense”. Coach explains that dividing by a negative flips the number line, shows the worked example 2 < 5 ⇒ −2 > −5, and asks the student to divide both sides of 6 < 10 by −2.
0201 / Ask

Coach answers the question the student actually asked, then asks for one small step.

A checked practice question from Passing lesson 1.2, “Compare the bundle boundaries”. The student chose Plan A and “2 sleeves, with 3 extras added once to the whole collection”, and wrote: “in 2(c+3) the parentheses make every sleeve get its own 3 extras, so thats 6 extras total. in 2c+3 the 3 extras only get added once”. Two ticks confirm the choices; a clock icon says the teacher will review the explanation.
0302 / Get feedback

Each part of the answer gets its own response, and written reasoning goes to the teacher.

One shared ambition

More possibility.
For everyone.

Start with students.
Move education forward, together.

mean something.

Ideas to explore. Room to think. Support when it’s needed. A learning experience designed to help students connect with what they’re doing—and understand why it matters.

EVIDENCE → INSIGHT

See the thinking.
Find the way forward.

You know how much can hide behind “completed.” Our ambition is to make understanding easier to see, so your next conversation can start where it matters.

Built with teachers in mind

PROGRESS → POSSIBILITY

Raise the meaning
of passing.

Course completion matters. So does what comes after it. Passing’s vision connects an engaging student experience with the insight educators need to help learning last.

A clearer picture for schools

paying attention.

To the next, next, next.
To the gap between time logged and ideas learned.
To the students who deserved something more.

The story behind Passing

A little more clarity

A big vision.
Real questions.

What is Passing?

Passing is a teacher-built, AI-enabled learning platform in development. Its vision brings clear teaching, interactive practice, and useful insight together, so progress reflects what students understand and can apply.

Who is Passing being built for?

Students, teachers, and school leaders—including charter school leaders. Passing starts with the student experience and connects it to the information educators need to support learning.

Can our school use Passing today?

The platform is being developed for launch. Join the launch list to receive availability updates and a closer look as Passing gets ready. There is no purchase or implementation commitment.

Is Passing a replacement for teachers?

Teachers are central to the vision. AI support should help students work through ideas and give teachers better visibility into learning, while educators bring the judgment, relationships, and context that technology cannot supply.
